We Go Together Like Notes in a Measure

It has been 20 days since I've seen my girlfriend, but I have plans to see her tonight! I'm quite excited about seeing her and am taking a personal day off from work this Monday so I can stay an extra day.

When traveling, I have a tradition of stopping to get gasoline. Okay, that's not really a tradition - that's just something that's called for. But after pumping (why do they call it pumping? I don't really pump anything... I just hold a handle [unless they have that all-so-wonderful handle holder flip-up metal piece]) ... anyway - after pumping sweet gasoline, I usually stroll inside the station and browse around their drink coolers.

If I see a Snapple, I'm sold. So, now you know - my traditional traveling drink is Snapple. But fewer and fewer gasoline super stations are carrying Snapple in their quenching coolers. So, I'm usually a bit surprised to find a Snapple - it's like running into an old friend.
