Windows 7

Windows 7 is on its way!  

Windows Vista has been generally hated since its release and widely unpopular.  Instead of Microsoft making their operating system more user friendly and less complicated, they seemed to go in the direction of making Vista less user friendly and more complicated than XP.  Most would prefer XP over Vista, and some people were outraged when buying a new PC no longer came with the option of XP.  

Personally, I haven't dealt much with Vista.  I just hear and read user reviews.  I have a preference toward Mac OS X.  

OS X Tiger is a great operating system that I use in my classroom and on my laptop.  The new release of OS X Leopard last year was quite exciting because of the many new features.  My parents have OS X Leopard, and my mom sometimes will say to me that she has to get used to the operating system being so easy and uncomplicated.  

Some of you may already know -  Microsoft has been working hard to replace Vista.  I don't think a release date has been announced yet, but Windows 7 is well on its way and has high hopes of making people forget about Vista.
