Our trip to MS went well this past weekend. Well, except for all of the car trouble. On the way there and on the way back, we had problems starting the car. On the way there, I was told that the alternator was bad and bought a new one. Someone stepped me through how to change the alternator, and it was fairly easy to do. That really put us behind schedule though - we didn't get to Kara's house till around 2am.
Saturday, we went to Granny and Granddaddy's house for lunch. We hung out there for awhile and watched some old family videos (I got to see Kara when she was little), and Granddaddy took us all out on the tractor. We took turns driving the tractor, and that was a lot of fun. Later that afternoon, we met up with their really big home school group at a football field. We played ultimate frisbee, football, soccer, volleyball, and I got second place in the balloon stomp!
Sunday, we went to church at Ripley and went to Louis and Abigail's house after services to see Lily (our new niece). Later that evening, we drove back to Kara's family's house to stay one more night.
Monday, we decided that we would go to Target before Mamoo and Papoo's house. When leaving Target, our car wouldn't start. We found out that our starter was bad.
We stopped at Mamoo and Papoo's (hoping that our car would start after our visit), and I rode bikes with Gabe. Our car did start back up, and we made it to my parent's house in Middle TN (we left the car there for repairs [our mechanic is in Middle TN] and drove my parent's van the rest of the way home).

My goodness!
Well, at least you were able to meet little Lily. That's a pretty big silver lining!
Woohoo! My man rules when it comes to balloon stomps!! :)
