Kara and I have been visiting weekly with a lady in the nursing home - Mrs. Pauline Harper. She's 92 years old and has lived in a nursing home for a little over a month now. We noticed her when our church was singing at the nursing home at the beginning of last month, and I talked to her about coming to visit. Her family lives about an hour away, and they do visit her (maybe once a week or every other week).

We're also getting to know some of the other ladies in the nursing home - such as Mrs. Ethel and Mrs. Wid (she says that people have always called her by her initials - WID).

Our visits with Mrs. Pauline follow the same structure that I've always used with friends in nursing homes. We talk for a while, read Scripture, sing hymns, and pray. Mrs. Pauline really appreciates our visits, and we sure appreciate the opportunity to visit.

It's a blessing to see that after 92 years, God is still supplying her with grace, and she still rejoices in Christ.

she is really sweet. And I must say, she is very pretty for being 92!
