Here are some fun pictures of things that we found around Charleston - such as the bubble gum post, a store full of necklaces, rings, etc., the Moon Pie General Store with factory fresh moon pies!, bicycle taxis, and a nice fountain (one of many really neat fountains).
On Tuesday, we drove 15 minutes away from Charleston to Folly Beach, SC. We had a great time there at the Atlantic Ocean and with our body board. It was a beautiful beach, and I helped Kara catch all sorts of fun waves that took her long distances away.
Below are some pictures from a fascinating old grave yard that we found in Charleston and a Manuscript Museum which was housing letters written by Charles Darwin (it happened to be Darwin month, and we weren't too excited about that) and old Egyptian stone work (which we were really happy about seeing).
Wednesday, we went to the Magnolia Plantation, and here are some pictures that we took. The green stuff in the water is called "duck weed" and is really beautiful. We also spotted some alligators in the waters. The cannon ball that I'm standing with was found at Fort Sumter and was shot during the Civil War.
