This past Saturday, Kara and I had a great time at the Memphis Zoo. We were there for hours (till closing time), and it's great! polar bears, monkeys, armadillos, sea lions, turtles, pandas, elephants, giraffes, and much much more. We ran out of time though and didn't get to see the cats ... we'll have to go back again some day.

That zoo and the Tulsa are the best two zoos around!
I went there once. I saw "Miss Kitty" from the TV show "Gun Smoke". She looked pitful. Old and sick and was sitting on a buckboard saying HI to the fans!!! I think she went broke in her old days and then had cancer and this must have been a way to make some income. I left really sad for her though. Strange!!! Jason was only a few weeks old then. I guess she'd be dead now? She looked half dead then, poor thing.
I also have a picture on a green, concrete hippo that was taken there.
oh well, that's all I remember about the zoo experience. I think Miss Kitty traumatized me!ha.
