Kara and I bought a 2005 Toyota Corolla last Monday, and we are loving it! It came "iPod ready" with a nice Sony CD player with an aux input, and I *knew* that I had been missing my iPod in the car, but I didn't realize that I had missed it *this* much... it's so great to have it back! Our previous car didn't have a way to connect our iPod except the FM transmitter option (which isn't an option).

We got a great deal on the car. We bought it with 76k miles for $6,450. We had been looking for a Toyota, and I found this one on Autotrader.com last Monday morning, called the place, and the next thing we knew, Kara and I were driving down to Marietta, GA. Something else we love about this car is that we get 41 miles to the gallon the highway. I've checked the miles per gallon twice since we've had it, and with a mixture of highway and city miles, we've been getting 38 miles to the gallon.

Last week, Pa showed Kara and I how to put out a few more garden rows, and we helped him weed his rows of corn. Today, Pa showed me how to till his garden with his tractor, and I tilled the last two rows. I also learned how to properly fertilize the crops, and we spent some time fertilizing.

Behind the hubcaps on my Corolla, the wheels were rusty (which was odd since it's such a new car), so I sanded the rust off of the wheels today, and Pa spray painted them black ... now, they look like new. Pa is good with a spray paint can - he didn't even need to use tape ... he just free handed it all.

I'm hoping to pressure spray the porches and deck here at my grandparents house tomorrow, and Pa and I are going to try to find some time to fish this week if it's not storming too much.

Kara and I have our things packed for Camp Moriah and plan on leaving Saturday morning. My cousin, Cody, is driving down here Friday and plans to ride with us (he and I have a tradition of riding together). This year's theme for Camp is "Maintaining a Christian World View". I'm looking forward to a good time of Christian fellowship and exhortations.
