Kara just finished making this fantastically good salsa! for my parents.

However, I have had quite a few "samples" to make sure it is good and doesn't need anything else. After we poured out two mason jars, I was really hoping for a small bowl for myself, and I got what I was hoping for.

Brother Jimmy concluded his sermon series on the 1689 London Confession this evening. He preached over 100 sermons with this series, every other Wednesday evening service, and he began this series before I joined back in 2005. We are praying that the Lord will direct his studies as he seeks a new direction for Wednesday evening sermons, but I sure enjoyed the sermons through the confession.

Next week, Kara and I are taking our one year anniversary trip to Charleston, SC. We're both very excited about the trip.

This past month, Kara and I met two families in the Cookeville area that are very likeminded toward the Scriptures. Both of these families hold to the London Confession, and we enjoyed some wonderful times of fellowship with these dear saints. They are Reformed Baptist and do not agree upon every point when it comes to congregational worship. But we met in their homes on Wednesday evenings while we were there in Cookeville helping my grandparents. The Cookeville PB church does not meet on Wednesdays, and these brethren with their families met for supper and a Bible study on Wednesday evenings in their homes. It was really a wonderful experience for us.

Boom, the Pounds' foreign exchange student from Thailand, moved back to Thailand yesterday. We will miss him. He was such a blessing to our congregation, and we enjoyed having him in our home and at different times of getting together. He wrote me an email today telling me that he made it back to Thailand and invited us to come and visit if we ever had the opportunity.
