Yay! Google gave me back my diary! :*)
I received an email yesterday asking, "Did you delete your blog?" I responded with "huh" click, type, click, "huh?" I was told that my account had been disabled and that Google had the right to do so without notifying me.
So... I write them an email. What did I do wrong? Why me... why my journal? I was sad ... down and out.... and didn't have much hope toward getting back my ol' journal. I'm just little ol' me and even smaller when compared to big ol' Google.
If we feel that helpless with Google... just think of how helpless and needy and dependent we are when it comes to our great God. That was just an extra thought that I decided to throw in because it just crossed my mind.
Anyway, so I go to that email account... and get the same message... but I also find that I can put in my mobile number to receive a passcode to get into my account. I run over to my phone, get the phone, and kabooyah! I'm back!
I'm sure the blog world wasn't all that worried, but I sure didn't want to lose all of my journal entries and memories that I have stored on the blog we know as Spatula Spot.
Kara and I had a great visit with her family last week, and a wonderful time at the Grace Chapel meeting which started Thursday. I was asked to preach Thursday morning which was my first time to ever preach at a meeting, and I had such a wonderful time of fellowship with the saints and other ministers that were there. Brother J Harris (I try not to post full names on my blog b/c I do not want the site to show up if someone googles their name ... mine included) was the invited preacher and was blessed to preach some great messages.
In his sermons, I was encouraged and convicted in many ways. I will share a few things that he said that really helped to encourage me concerning the ministry:
"We do not need part-time preachers!" I was encouraged to spend more time in study and commitment to the ministry by this statement.
"A young man went up to a preacher after services one day and said, 'I'd give the world to know what you know.' The preacher responded, 'Good ... because that is what it will take.'" This encouraged me to realize more of the sacrifices that I need to make when it comes to the ministry and the study of God's word.
There were many other things that I wrote down in my notes, but I was also blessed to have some encouraging conversations with H. Fulmer, M. Stewart, and J. Harris. I was also encouraged to speak and pray with my friend David.
David also brought me a pack of Milky Magic cookies from India. :-) Which I thought was a nice gift and was very thoughtful. He said that he wanted to get me something that I could enjoy with Kara. :-)
Today, we had a visitor at Covenant, and he plans to come back next Sunday with his family. He came this afternoon, and we had a wonderful time talking with him after services. He and his family have been looking for a church, and they had found our church and our website before he came to "investigate" for his family this afternoon. He is very well studied in the Scriptures and church history, and I'm encouraged and praying that the Lord will be pleased to add to our flock.

I was joyous that your blog was back up. I know you were just sick when you saw it all gone.
Had a great time Sunday. Love you. Mom
